Nicolette Marie "Nic" Nevin is a nurse practitioner at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Her mother died when she was young causing her to grow up fast to help her widowed father raise her younger sister Jessie. Nic may currently be a nurse practitioner but she is working on earning her DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice).She is very dedicated to the care of her patients and goes above and beyond in her duties. When a patient she is very close to dies she is framed for her death along with falsely arrested for 'breaking and entering' the clinic she had been investigating in relation to the patient's illness. Together with her good friend Dr. Mina Okafor she is able to get the hospital to sponsor a charity clinic. She also has been known to volunteer at events around the city and for the hospital.Nic is someone who puts the care of others above herself at all times. She is bad when it comes to putting herself first. If one of her friends or family needs her she is there.Fun facts: -Nic is in an on-again off-again relationship with Conrad Hawkins, an resident internist at the hospital. -Her sister Jessie is a recovering drug addict.

She was carefree and wore her heart on her sleeve. Soon into these fun and complicated adolescent years Nic’s mother passes away from pneumonia. The pneumonia resulted from a problem during exploratory surgery when her lung collapsed. Not only is she now dealing with the normal teenage angst (new bodily functions, feelings, school) but she now is also trying to deal with the loss of her mother and helping to raise her younger sister.NURSING SCHOOL Nic has mostly come to terms with the loss of her mother and has used it to channel her feelings into helping people. She enrolls in nursing school.PRE THE RESIDENT Nic has gotten a job at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital and has been working there for a number of years. In the most recent few she has been in an on again/off again relationship with one of the interns, Dr. Conrad Hawkins. She started at the hospital before him and they have seen each other’s ups and downs.THE RESIDENT Nic is a nurse at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. She knows a number of the ‘normal’ repeat patients and has a good relationship with them. The latest round of new interns has arrived so it is time to help teach as the ducklings take their first flights. (If you are interested in shipping with her let me know.)RED BAND SOCIETY Nic transfers to Ocean Park Hospital in Los Angeles, needing a clean start and to be closer to her father. The only opening is in pediatrics, which she has no problem with. She respects Nurse Jackson but is closer to Nurse Kenji in her interactions with patients. She can be strick when she needs to but also give the patients in the pediatric ward an ear when they need it. [ Mun has seen almost all of the show. ]CHICAGO MED/ ONE CHICAGO Nic moves from Atlanta to Chicago. Transferring to Gaffny Chicago Medical Center she has to adjust to having actual seasons throughout the year. She finds the pace pretty similar to her old job. The METRA is similar to MARTA. Old rhythms are quick to fall into. Patients everywhere need care. [ Mun has seen a few seasons of the show and is catching up.]THE NIGHT SHIFT Nic has found herself moving from the humid heat of the south, Atlanta, to the dry heat of San Antonio. She transfers to San Antonio Memorial Hospital taking an opening in the ER for the night shift. It is busier than her former job and she has to get used to the large quantity of former/current soldiers in the hospital; as patients AND as doctors. [Mun is almost done viewing the whole show.]GREY’S ANATOMY The rainy days of Grey Sloan Memorial are a stark contrast to the normally bright and sunny days of Chastain Park Memorial. Her hospital had it’s drama but no where near as disasterous as the multiply renamed Seattle Hospital. She misses the sun…and maybe a few certain coworkers…but Nic could use a few good rainy days. She needed a change. When you live long enough, you start to see the same eyes in different people. The inhabitants of Grey Sloan are both foreign and familiar.HOUSE MD There doesn’t feel like a lot of difference between Chastain Park Memorial and Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. Well aside from it being a bit more renowned. The doctors though are familiar to her in their types. It is both a comfort and mildly frustrating.THE GOOD DOCTOR Similar to my other AU verses, Nic moves from the humid GA heat to the mediteranian climate of San Jose. She works at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. Unlike many of her coworkers (mostly the doctors), Nic has no qualms working with Dr. Murphy. She is patient with him and believes he can do this. There are times when things might be troubling but she tries to keep a calm attitude as she does with her patients. Everyone just needs to have a little faith.ER The transfer to County General was as seamless as it could be. The period of adjustment at work was virtually nonexistant as she was thrown straight back into work. The weather difference on the other hand? That was going to take some time.SCRUBS Nic works with the insane staff of Sacred Heart Hospital. She gets along well with her fellow nurse, Carla.HAWAII 5-0 Nic moves to Oahu and gets a job at King’s Hospital. Five-0 seem to be frequent visitors and patients.THE PITT Nic is normally a widow in this verse. Nic transfered to the emergency department shift at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She looks up to Dana Evans, one of the normal charge nurses. She likes being able to actually experience full seasons though she does tend to miss the warmth of Georgia at times. Though she is sad that her new position tends to have less bonding with patients as they need to see and help as many as they can she is enjoying the change of pace.MORE CROSSOVERS AND AUs TO COME…
